Mind boggling
Just started playing "Professor Layton and the Curious Village" on the scale of puzzle awesomeness I rate it 12/10. The puzzle are the ones that really makes you use your brain. Typing here reduces my time solving the puzzle so I'm going to stop here.

Why 'ello dere!
Wondering why I hardly post here anymore? well simply because I ran out of anime to watch and games to play, simple.

So far I've been re-watching Code Geass and other stuff I have, "finished" Contra 4 and decided to not finish FF3 and 4 simply because I just don't feel like playing it for a while, and here's something different. I've been reading books!

Immersion
My long absence from posting can only be explained by 3 simple words; Nintendo, Dual, Screen. Yes that's right more than a month since I bought it I was practically glued to it, not having a job allows you to do that.

Despite this being a mostly anime and gaming blog I will spare you the details but leave you with a phrase.

"good ideas should stay as a good idea unless it can be executed properly"

A polling....
I don't know when it began but before I knew it BAM! Sailor moon live action, then it's Gundam (yes all you non believers it existed, it sucked monkey balls but it was there, it's like the Star Wars Christmas Special, deny it all you want but it existed) , H2, Cashern, 最終兵器彼女 (Saishuu Heiki Kanojo), クロサギ (Kurosagi) then ネギマ (Negima) and now ひぐらしなく頃に... (higurashi naku koro ni) if I missed a few then I'm still in the safe zone. I make the exception at Nodame Cantabile that one was actually decent.

Making a live action series from an anime/comic book is risky, it looks easy because the script's done, the fan base is established, but can the script be readapted? can the actors act? ok fine the some Americans managed well with it because some of them can actually write a good script and some of the actors can, how do I say it...act!

"Are you saying Japanese can't write a good script?" you say? not to that extent no not as a whole, anime turned into a live Action series usually means 2 things; young upcoming male or female idol and attempt at eye candy, come to think of it they're really the same thing and seriously does anyone think that most of those idols can act? Also, Anime and comic books show explosive and mostly inhuman over exaggeration of human emotional reaction that cannot be emulated in real life, be honest with yourself can you really make an expression that resembles this?

GYABO!

And that kids is an example on how to waste 3 minutes of your day on the internet.

"This city was built from sticks and stones!"
Having bought Metropolismania 2 the other a week ago I find myself glued to it since, basically it's like sim city for kids. The good part about it is you get to choose where every building goes including houses, office building and factories , no money is involved in setting down the roads, no pesky zoning procedure just people whining about how far they are from a school or afactory despite one being available about 4 blocks away.

You start off with nothing but a plot of land, then you start setting down the roads and accepting residents through your e-mail which you then get to decide where they go. In order to progress you need to reach a certain goal, usually a population limit, you also need to be friendly with the residents, make yourself known to the public.....all 1000 of them.....well no not really but it's possible. Once you've met the goal you get to build a new town with a more chalenging goals, that is if you choose to do so. in short it's a time sink, a very big time sink like Sim City but easier.
